Infinite Just Us, the chair
I love art cars but can't afford a vehicle dedicated to art, so it occurred to me recently to explore the same aesthetic on a smaller scale. I've been collecting cast-off furniture and small plastic toys from garage sales with the idea of putting the two together to make amateur "art".
Here's my first piece, a broken-down chair studded with Uncle Sams and stenciled with the words "Infinite Just Us". Watch this blog for more. I don't consider myself an artist, but if this becomes an ongoing hobby I'd like to get good enough to trade for art by other people.
Now that it's done, I think I like the stencil as well as the chair. I've never been brave enough to do guerrilla stenciling and don't think that's going to change now, but I must admit it's tempting...
