Worst of Austin Poll

As a class project, some iSchool students have set up a fun little Worst of Austin poll. Vote for the worst local politician, tourist attraction, band, BBQ, and strip club, among others.

(Yes, strip club: I'm trying to imagine the class discussion which led to the nominations in that category. Possibly a topic never before addressed in the hallowed halls of the Sánchez building -- but then again, strip clubs have covered the tuition bills for a lot of students over the years...)

Not to git all crazy, but....Ruby's is far from overhyped, and is THE best, you dolts. Nope, don't have a sense of humour about that apparently.

You want overhyped crappiness, though, go to Katz'. I'm from NY and the best deli this town ever had was the short lived, strangely located Round Rock Deli smack on the corner of 35 & 79....

As the professor for the class, I'd just like to point out that the students came up with the list of categories completely on their own. The only class discussion on strip clubs occured AFTER they presented their final project...

Glenn, I didn't realize the Keep _____ Weird meme had spread that far. I do believe it started in Austin. My favorite copycat campaign is the "Keep Waco Wacko" shirts they sell in the Common Grounds coffeeshop next door to Baylor.
