An appetite for art
I bought another painting by Michael Schliefke this weekend.
I saw it at Michael's American paintings show at Mojo's on the theme of "the wanton excess of the American culinary experience". It looked so much like I must have sat for the painting myself that I had to have it. Michael gave it a different title but I call it O Gringo na Praia (Gringo on the Beach) and think it would look great on the wall of minha namorada carioca, if she'll have it. It may be going to Brazil soon.
Again I wish I could have bought one of Michael's larger pieces. Maybe someday.
